Love That You Give is going up in my list, probably the best song on the album imo Just saw on Amazon IT that the vinyl is almost sold-out, just 6 left Maybe they had lower expectations, but the album is going well!

Remove your mask is my new favourite.
i don't know why it was a bonus track.. In my opinion really is the best track on the album.. It could slot into their debut pretty well.
Wedding is is pretty good as well! Both should be part of the main album.

I'm curious to hear from you guys that waited for the official release date! HERE GOES! First impressions are good. Definitely positive. LTYG has that POW burst of energy as the riff pauses for a few seconds before restarting- love it. Good improvement on the demo. Baroness starts with this dirty, raw riff but somehow turns into a power ballad with that magnificent chorus. Would be even better if the verses were a little different and a few changes in the song-writing- doesn't end particularly well, no guitar solo and there is no pre-chorus build up. But the chorus- Victorious is obviously a big track. Good heavy song- spectacular riff towards the ending. But certainly not my favourite- just my opinion. Pretty Peggy was shock to us all. I would describe it as more of an indie rock ballad- as much as I hate to say it. It is definitely a good song. Consistent and balanced throughout. City Lights- I cannot make my mind up about it. Listened to it loads of times. Sounds more 'New Crownish' (you guys seemed to have invented that phrase). I do like it. But solo isn't great The Simple Life starts great. Chorus is a big naff. Verses work well with the riff. The transition is rather strange- not the best solo, although it improves when the riff returns. Best of a Bad situation starts immediately with verses. Hand-clapping seems unnecessarily. Seems like a good movie song. Nothing spectacular. Gypsy Caravan- a fantastic song. First really good heavy song since something off Cosmic Egg. Packed with cool drum fills. Chorus is repetitive but I like it- especially the added backing vocals. The verses in the song are also great. Towards the ending is also fantastic- "I see the Gypsy Caravan arrive". Happy Face does start very Sabbathy. Not the best song. A rather boring beginning and middle part in my opinion. Although, I like the ending despite the weird sounding guitar part. Probably has the best guitar solo on the record. Eye of the Beholder is also cool. A good finisher of the album. The riff almost attracts something like a bagpipe to play along with it- not that I like the instrument at all. Nice to hear a bit of extra bass guitar as well. Nice and dramatic at the end - Almost like Violence and Eyes Open were on Cosmic Egg Overall, the album has definitely developed a different sound. But we still hear those familiar Wolfmother guitar hooks and cymbal grabs. Much more commercial than New Crown. Has bigger production but also a bigger sound. First impressions are very good. From the songs I hadn't of heard yet, Baroness and Eye Of The Beholder are the stand-outs.

My top ten would be this. Although most likely to change. I wouldn't say I dislike any songs. They are a few very average songs but a few stand-outs which is awesome!
1. Gypsy Caravan 2. Baroness 3. Eye Of The Beholder 4. Love That You Give 5. City Lights 6. Victorious 7. Pretty Peggy 8. Simple Life 9. Happy Face 10. Best Of A Bad Situation

Does anyone know what song Patrick Keeler of The Raconteurs might have played on? I know he played something because he was at Henson Studios with Andrew...

Yeah I don't see why Remove a your Mask is a bonus track.. But I suppose so was Caroline, cosmonaut, eyes open and back round for CE..
God I am addicted to that song though now, repeat repeat repeat!
Also it was nice to see the vinyl taking top and centre stage in HMV.. I was naughty and bought it.. Whoops.. The rack was nearly empty as well for the cd and vinyl.. Good signs!
also a small record store near me also had victorious! I was surprised about that one!
ANDDDDD
Victorious is at 25 in the UK iTunes albums charts.. Also brilliant!
