Hey guys, I hope to breath some life into this still very dead forum A new Wolfmother record has been announced and we have already heard at least three songs from it (Victorious, City Lights, Gypsy Caravan) there have also been some snippets of other songs (Mask, Simple Life) What do you guys think? Let's discuss this exciting new thing here

I'm really excited. Victorius is my favourite one at the moment, very strong riff, awesome drums, very catchy City Lights is very catchy too, I love the chorus and it's kinda psychedelic And the last one, Gipsy Caravan, sounds awesome too. Lyrics and guitar reminds me the first record, seems classic WM, but I don't think it's strong enough to be a stand alone single
Love That You Give seems great, demo was ok but new version seems to be on an all new level. Can't wait to hear this one And about Simple Life and Mask, I'm not sure yet, the snippets on fb were awesome but I need to hear the full songs to judge them

Yeah I was already excited when AS announced that he was recording with Brendan O'Brien. Always loved the sounds he created with all the numerous bands. But hearing this great new Wolfmother sounds lifted my hopes and expectations yet another time But I'm still hoping for some kind of special edition of the new record with bonus tracks!

So far I'm liking what I'm hearing. I've kind of accepted the fact it's not gonna be the kind of WM record I'd like to hear but Victorious is an awesome song. City Life is good and I've still got to give Gypsy Caravan more listens. More excited about that Eye Of The Beholder (Mask) snippet we got. Seems like that's gonna be the better than the ones we've heard. Love That You Give also seems like it's been improved a lot. Let's see.

Gypsy Caravan is REALLY growing on me. Really cool song. Did you guys see Andrew posted a video of him playing Pretty Peggy on Instagram? Seems like a mellow romantic acoustic song this one.

Yep, can't wait to hear Pretty Peggy, every WM album needs its ballad. Hoping for something like "Far Away", one of the best songs of WM imho

Yes Far Away is also one of my favourites! I'm pretty stoked about Pretty Peggy. Looking forward to hearing it on the record! Does anyone know if there will some sort of Special/Limited Edition of the record? With extra songs maybe?

There's no pre-order for any special edition yet.

At the moment the only limited edition announced is the Limited Lenticular Edition on their website (35$) wolfmother.shop.livenation.com/Product.aspx?cp=80307_80417&pc=FXCDWOF66980I've already pre-ordered the album's lp on Amazon, but probably I'm going to preorder that special edition too

But I really do think "wedding" and "behemoth", for example, were just working titles like "mask". Behemoth was probably Gypsy Caravan, as it's said on the lyrics, I reckon Wedding's probably Pretty Peggy and Mask is Eye Of The Beholder.

I'm really optimistic about the album. So far out the 3, "Gypsy Caravan" takes the top spot with "Victorious" at number 2. "City Lights" aint bad but it's not my favourite. From what I've heard of the other songs, I'm excited. I felt like both "Keep Moving" and "New Crown" lacked a good ballad to balance the rock songs so I was excited when I heard "Pretty Peggy". "Caroline", "In the Morning", and "Far Away" are some of my favourite Wolfmother songs so more ballads, the better. I'm just really excited to have a studio album that we can get hyped about. As much as I enjoyed getting "New Crown" and "Keep Moving" all at once, I missed having the lead up to albums release. It's good to be a Wolfmother fan right now, I'm glad that most feel the same way!

Gipsy Caravan is in the "Best of the week" list from Apple Music. Nothing great, but still something considering the past three years of nothing. Btw, I gave some other listens to the song and...it's just great. So far the best one, even better than Victorius. Bass is amazing, fuzzy guitar and awesome drums; the lyrics are classic WM and the "Won't you take me to the Hipsy Caravan" part is stuck in my head ahaha

I really like Gypsy Caravan. Awesome chorus and the ending is mesmerising. Cool backing vocals as well even if it is from Stockdale. Wish it was a little longer and included a proper guitar solo. Probably the most 'classic Wolfmother' song we've heard from the new album so far. Victorious and City Lights were both quite good in my opinion. But I am getting a little bored of them and the album hasn't even been released yet. Love That You Give started with a demo released ages ago that sounded almost worse than some of the production from New Crown. But the transition from that to the 15 seconds that the band released on Facebook of LTYG sounded incredible. So much better and I was laughing when I first heard that- in a positive way. I'm also still hoping for that collaboration with Kadavar's drummer Wedding. They played it live once in Byron Bay, maybe it's one of the bonus tracks. Hopefully, there will be bonus tracks. Cosmic Egg's bonus tracks were phenomenal in my opinion. And plenty of them too Still looking forward to 19th February though; and the yet-to-be released UK tour that will start straight after the North American tour. Fingers crossed Brighton and London are announced
