After following Stockdale and Peres's Instagram accounts the last few weeks, I have reason to believe that Ian has left WM. He joined another band for a tour and missed one WM show, but it's not very clear if he has left WM for good.. Can anyone confirm this? If so, that is very sad news for the future of the band..

Dave Atkins (who played on the recent show as a guitarist and was a drummer for cosmic egg), said that he is just on tour and Andrew just did a fill-in. We will see if he will be playing with WM this summer. There are no tour conflicts there

Ian just posted on Facebook that he's going on tour with Xavier Rudd. They have a pretty full schedule of dates posted from the end of May through mid-October.

wolfmother have shows in the USA in september, while xavier rudd has a european tour in europe at the same time, so unfortunately it seems like he is no longer in WM

I gotta say, after being a hardcore fan since 2006, I'm really starting to lose interest. Peres was the only constant through all of the lineup changes since the original trio disbanded, too bad.

it's not as if he barely played on Victorious. In fact, if you look at the personnel and songwriting credits, Victorious is more of an Andrew Stockdale solo album than Andrew Stockdale Solo album itself - keep on moving.
Keep on moving featured all wolfmother band members from 2009 to 2013. it was the only album that had band members sharing songwriting credits (except for the debut) while victorious was bassically Andrew on guitar bass vocals, writing everything (cowriting 2 tracks with outside guys) + sessions drummers + Ian just playing keys here and there + producer playing some stuff.
im still interested after all it was always only Andrew after the trio disbanded, however i must say that Ian was the most talented member in the band and he was probably better than Chris Ross. Listen to "california queen" by the new lineup. man sounds weak. Chris Ross was much easier to replace than Ian.
Wonder what the future will bring. i doubt these guys are gonna last for a long time. seems like the new album is being recorded by Andrew on everything (even the drums) according to the photos

After watching that proshot with the new band I gotta say it seems pretty lifeless, it might be the mix but there's no heavyness and everybody seems to be mailing it in to an extent. WM without a highly energetic bass/keys player just seems wrong idk. I think if Andrew wants to keep this thing going it might be time to swallow his pride and get the original band back together. My dream lineup would be the original 3 with Ian on additional bass/keys/guitar/vox.

nah, they're okay but the original trio + Ian + any second guitarist would be my dream lineup too

I saw the new line-up a few weeks ago in Amsterdam and have to say it was one of the best WM shows I've been to! The new guys are solid and it is really cool, having organ and bass on every song instead of either one! I agree that it's weird how Andrew changes the line-ups so often but don't be opposed to the new band! You can feel their enthusiasm and I think they are giving their best

since Andrew is looking for musicians who can play wm songs on "drums, bass, keys, sax and trumpet" from US seems like there will be yet another new lineup. Lachy definitly wont be there because he has solo gigs in australia during WM US tour
