I know Victorious was just released today, but I was curious to know what direction you guys think WM should go with their next album.
Any thoughts?

3 piece. Stable Line-up. Heavy Blues/Psychedelic rock. With major influence from Rory Gallagher. Lots of riffs, more solos than Victorious hopefully. Let Peres do a bit of song-writing. Produced by Alan Moulder. Or am I just dreaming?

Currently this is the right direction imo, for the future I just want a new album, well produced as Victorious and maybe a little bit heavier
But, for now, the band just needs to go on tour and kickass live

Personally, I wish they'd make stuff more like New Crown and less like Victorious, bigger and heavier songs. But more importantly: a stable line-up, that could actually record the whole album as a band the next time. I mean.. Ian has to play the bass!!! That dude is awesome!!!!

I think Andrew should venture out and diversify the genres. Have a 8 minute psychedelic song followed by a two minute punk song followed by pop rock single. Give Andrew the ability to show of his songwriting skills. And it should definitely be produced by a known producer. Also, I think Ian should be involved more not just musically, but also in the promos, pictures, interviews, etc. WM can be a duo with a touring drummer. They've gone through enough drummers it's almost laughable at this point.

I'm waiting for a a song that's at least 6-7 min long. Like WM's Into The Void, Under The Sun, Megalomania. A freakin' epic to close the next album. A song that starts one way and ends in a completely different vibe, something almost progressive. And then make an EP with a four-digit-long song, a quick crazy How Many Times-type song and a ballad. There. =D

I'm waiting for another Violence of the Sun or Eyes Open. Dramatic ending packed with emotions- but heavy at the same time. Eye Of The Beholder is close enough though Who knows, Wolfmother may not release another record. Or maybe a hiatus coming up soon? Hopefully not of course. If they're around for another 5 years or so, I reckon I would end up being their drummer at some point

Haha! I've already offered my services as a guitarist, but Andrew kindly turned me down and said he was happy with the trio

Anyway, what would I want them to do next? I'm not sure, as I'm yet to even hear this record in full, but what I love the most about Wolfmother is when they are doing things like Colossal, Eyes Open and Caroline. Less of the overblown attempts at arena rock and more of those utter bangers, please!

Sorry guys, I'm already a 1 man Wolfmother tribute act. I perform 3 roles at once. It's quite something.. Some say it's a mess, I disagree and say it's art.
Anyways the future, I would personally like anther live DVD/album from them, follow up to please experience Wolfmother would be awesome! Then they need to hire me as their tour manager, take over the world, then headline every major festival. #2017
Done.
