Yeah definitely Alex, who is an absolute beast! I only briefly met him but my god, in my opinion, the best drummer they've had. The drums were spot on and he made a huge impact last night!

Nice one Jimmy! Glad it went well. I'm seeing them on Wednesday in London. Interesting to see how City Lights will sound live. Tell me more about Ian. That's awesome that you had an evening with him haha

Haha I went to Southampton last night.. It all happened again! Backstage and All access passes!
I even got a signed copy of the set list!
Yeah Ian is an absolute legend! He has only really been playing the bass since 2009 (when he joined Wolfmother) and he got the job for Wm because he really was the only one that could both play the keys and the Phoenix riff!
As mentioned, Alex is a powerhouse on those drums and a nice fella.
I had a proper chat with Andrew last night as well, I loved that he accidentally broke his Les Paul custom in America whilst on stage so just completely smashed it. Rock and roll!
I did ask why Remove your mask wasn't on the album and it was more of the producers decision. He had 10 songs which he wanted to put out and this is the first time Andrew has just gone with his advise. I did tell him that I basically thought that was wrong and that it was my favourite track haha why not?
It's strange that we spoke about so much yet I can't remember now! Haha
The support act are lovely as well, Electric Citizen. They will hang around the merch area so go have a chat with them! Mention Jimmy and see if they remember me! Also get their CD!
city lights is sounded great! And they have been practising Wedding, which is likely going to make an appearance at some point!
After last night, this makes it 8 times that I've seen them! And 5 of those times I've gone backstage, sound checks, AAA passes and even went on the tour bus. How exciting!

I'm hoping they do! Not sure which sound they would ditch though! I believe love train / keep moving were removed for city lights (based on previous set lists I've seen)
Can't wait for them to come back to the UK though (in August)

I've seen them now!! London yesterday. I was on the balcony which was the safer option but still good. Lots of moshpits and the crowd actually singing the riffs haha. City Lights was played. Keep Moving also. No sign on Mind's Eye or Love Train though. I've met a lot of guys from bands. Briefly, the guys from Kadavar, The Vintage Caravan and RavenEye. But it was so hard to speak to Wolfmother because they weren't really around before or afterward their set. And I couldn't get backstage passes. How on earth did you manage that XD ? Wedding will be great live! Can't wait to hear that on YouTube. Well done Jimmy for meeting the heroes that are Andrew, Ian and Alex! So are they definitely coming back in August? I know they're doing Europe festivals. I was hoping Download (cause I'm going ) But that's in June. Same cannot wait to see them again in the UK. Meanwhile, Electric Citizen were okay. Good instrumentals but a little repetitive and singer was so operatic- A bit doomy.

How I get backstage passes? Well I have met them 3 times before and I am a known person in the Wolfmother camp, mainly down to this website! And some crazy things like storing the entire European tour merchandise at my house for a year or so.. So yeah.. I can confirm that the tame impala takeover of WM.net did piss the band off so let's never speak of them again. Apparently, the former label did some dodgy stuff in regards to this site which I will not mentioned for the moment. Also when I say August.. I mean www.victoriousfestival.co.ukI say it's worth a pop at £30 for a Sunday ticket for us southerners!

I saw that but I thought Google had made a mistake because the festival had the same name as the latest Wolfmother album. I might go to that festival in Portsmouth if I can go with someone who has a car haha. Or can get travel down there. I'll book a hotel as well so I can stay on Sunday night too. It is very cheap. Mostly pop acts and Noel Gallagher (disgraceful arrogant human being). Bring my sister or cousin. Although, if Wolfmother are at Download in June I will forget about it as I'm already going to Download. They're left that date free on their tour schedule and they still have 30 bands to be announced so fingers crossed

Well I'm going to the Victorious Festival! Tickets are so cheap! But accommodation is running out fast!
Download could happen as they are in Germany just after download!
But I would have expected them to have announced that by now..
