So I just saw Wolfmother for the first time ever tonight at Webster Hall in NYC. If you haven't seen WM live, I urge you to do so, especially now. I'm telling you all, THEY ARE IN THEIR PRIME. I have seen countless live videos of WM, and they are admittedly hit or miss. Andrew certainly can have his off vocal days. But tonight, not one song was off. Andrew sounded almost as good as he does on the albums. I was completely blown away by how good they all played tonight. What was even more incredible was the insane amount of people that were there, who all knew every word of every song. As someone who doesn't know a single other WM fan, it was surreal hearing all these people sing along to songs that it sometimes felt like only I knew because of how few people really knew them well. Don't wanna go on too long with this, but I needed to get this out to other Wolfmother fans and talk about just how damn good this band is, and how they truly are vastly improving in every way. I wish there was a pro shoot of that concert so you could all see.
Incase anybody is curious about the setlist:
Victorious (tuned down so Andy could hit those high notes) New Moon Rising Woman Apple Tree The Love That You Give White Unicorn (Best performance of this song I have ever heard, hands down) California Queen How Many Times Gypsy Caravan (This song is a f*cking beast live) Dimension The Simple Life Mind’s Eye Colossal Vagabond Joker & the Thief

And yeah the tuning down is a little ridiculous. At least it sounds better, though.

He can sing "She will be victOooooriOooUuuus", take a rest and then sing "Hate won't get the bEeettTeer of Usss", and repeat that chorus for the other verses.

Holy s*** I'm a changed man. After being a fanatic for 8 years I finally got to see them in Philly last night. It was insane. Alex on drums is beastly. Only complaint is they played so much from self titled. Nonetheless everyone says their a killer live band and last night confirmed it.

Just saw them in NC. They changed their setlist around a little. They opened with dimension and added I ain't got no and pyramid! Also Iams keyboard wasn't working at the end of the show and he stood up on it and then jumped off it. It fell but a camera guy caught it. It was during joker and I got it on video!
I might be able to share the video sometime next week I'm busy for a few days. Awesome show
